At Dogs By Tammy I specialise in grooming DOUBLE COATED BREEDS . Below is a step by step picture show of the THOROUGH yet GENTLE methods I use to achieve superior results on these coats. This method ensures a superior finish without pulling the dogs hair or the use of sharp grooming tools ,or repetitive scraping with shedding blades.

1. Here is a Husky type dog on arrival for grooming.The dog is filthy dirty and packed with dead hair & shedding undercoat.The first step in the grooming process is into the Hydrobath where the dog is washed with top quality canine hair care products in warm rain water.The powerful water pressure of the hydrobath is the first step to gently loosening the dead hair.
2. Here is our dog out of the bath nice and clean. The dog is allowed to have a good shake, and then put up onto the table to start the drying process. This picture is taken a few minutes into drying, and you can see the dead hair and loose undercoat is starting to lift out of the coat.
3. Here is our dog fully dried. Just look at that pile of hair!!! That loose hair will make the dog hot and itchy, not to mention fall out all over you & your home, if it is left on the dog. At this stage of the grooming process the dog has not been touched with any brushes or combs, or any sharp rakes or shedding tools. All of that dead, loose hair has been gently removed using only the hydrobath and a high powered blow dryer.
4.WOW here is our dog all finished. Once drying is complete, the few loose hairs remaining in the coat are gently brushed & combed out, leaving the dog looking brand new & feeling fantastic. Now go back and look at the first picture......quite a TRANS-FUR-MATION !
